Toshiba Satelitte VGA problems

\015 Recently, my screen to my Toshiba Satelite A215 broke, apparently carrying around a screen in my backpack cracked the screen on the left side. I'm not really concerned about that, I'm resigned to the wear and tear of it all. As a temporary fix, I bought a Insignia (Bestbuy cheap knock off kinda TV) that has a VGA plugin. It works while starting up just fine. Once it hits the Windows vista part though, I lose the signal entirely, and I can't do anything. I mean... I can, but I have no screen to tell what I'm actually doing. I know the VGA slot works because of it working on startup. I can also use the screen just fine when I'm in safe mode. I'm baffled at what to do, as I can't do much of anything with the screen turning immediately off when I am not in safe mode. My screen on my laptop is as noted before, pretty much broken entirely, and only is a basic white when turned on, and you can make out a tiny bit of the picture, but not enough to really change the settings around to use a different monitor. Safe mode works just fine, but I can't really... change any settings in it that I can see. It's pretty frustrating, any advice?\015

Friend which problem you are facing it is because of three resons.
\015\012 in toshiba genrally
\015\012 1. after hit on windows vista for external vga you have to press FN+function key again where moniter or lcd symbol displayed.
\015\012
\015\0122. vga settings in oprating system not compatiable with external moniter.
\015\012 start system in safe mode change setting at minimum requerment of vga ,save it and restart in normal mode.
\015\012
\015\012In xp you can use F8 at start up and select vga mode.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\0123. this is related to hardware:
\015\012 some of the toshiba laptops vga graphics chip is dry solded
\015\012
\015\012by that it run oprating system in safe mode fine.
\015\012but extended vga mode or in normal mode not give resolution or some time patches on screen.
\015\012 For that you have to change vga chip .It is bettr to take it to the service station.
Turn the computer on and straight away start tapping F8. When you get the advanced boot options choose low resolution mode or VGA Mode. When windows loads up your graphics will look really bad but you can sort out the resolution from control panel.
