Constant loud muffled noise coming from the sub and speakers.

\015 There is a constant loud muffled noise coming from the subwoofer and speakers even if no song is playing. It used to work perfectly and then randomly this happened. I never dropped it, didn't spill anything on it...nothing ...the only thing that makes sense is dust being collected inside.Oh and at first only the front left that had the muffled noise and then within a day or two the whole thing became like that.Just to clarify: if i turn the system on without anything plugged in there is that loud muffle noise...Oh and btw, the fuse is fine.\015

Answers :

Try playing with the connection, sounds to me maybe the jack is going bad or has a shorted connection. Plug it in and out slowly to see if that's the issue.
