No sound from one speaker
\015 I recently noticed that one speaker has stop playing anything. I don't think the speaker itself is broken because when i plugged it into a different port it produced sound. I'm not quite sure what has happened but i do think it has something to do maybe with the cables? or the specific port on the subwoofer? i haven't made any changes to my whole set up so i dont think that is an issue either. Has this happened to anyone else and can someone please help me. any ideas are appreciated. note.system is maybe a year and a half old.i keep it under my desk. its not really dusty or anything.no damage has happened to it.i have it connected to my 360 and also use it to play music from my ipod.\015
If you have used the same cable to plug it in a different port, then i would say it is not the cable. it's more of a port issue or it's just that the sound card does not send a signal to that channel anymore. try using your unit on other sound systems and see if you get the same result. or you can set your pc to run on 2 channel mode only to test if the two speakers (L front and L rear, in this example) can produce the sound on the left channel (you do the same for the right, obvioulsy). if that still exibits the same symptoms, then it is definitely a port issue.

I have just bought the logitech x-540 speakers and have found that they have 3 input cables (one for each of the left, right and centre speakers). However my laptop only has 2 input 'holes'.
