Having problems with your Intel Pentium IV M, 3.06 GHz Pentium 4-M (SL77P) Processor ?

My computer i am sorry, but i told you the wrong thing, i have pc3200 ram, and was worndering if you could tell me what i should upgrade to. i plan on installing 2 1gig sticks if i can, but should it be pc3200 or 2700?

Answers :

PC3200 is 400Mhz ram, PC2700 is 333Mhz. Check with www.crucial.com and run the system checker to determine which ram is correct for your system. If PC2700 is what you should use you can most likely use PC3200 as it will step down to the speed your computer uses. Crucial, Kingston and other major brands are backwards compatible.
Is the ram that you are putting in the pc3200 or the ram or the ram that was in there the pc3200. If that is what you took out, that is what you should put in. If this is what you plan to put in, you just have to try. Try what you have. It won't hurt it if it isn't compatible. If it doesn't work, 2700 should.
