Having problems with your HP Pavilion m7480n (882780389410) PC Desktop ?

Won't boot, has a steady beep sound.

\015 Once it is turned on it has a steady beep or squeal which does not stop, doesn't send a signal to the monitor. I have two external drives, the one that plugs into the front of the machine, labeled L, another external I have plugged into a firewire, labeled G. For some reason last weekend G wasn't working, computer renamed my L drive to G, which caused problems because L is where I store my documents, so it couldn't find anything. I unplug the external and replugged into a new firewire port, it wouldn't switch the drive labels back, so I went in and manual changed them back. 3 days later it froze up, then when tried to re-boot it started the current issue.\015

Hi,
Beep codes denote that there may be problem with your RAM modules inside your computer Cabinet. Remove the cabinet, remove the RAM modules from the slot, clean the dust particles present and replace the RAM back to the slot properly and try restarting your system. Try 5 continuous attempts like this and at any one your system may come alive. The Beep codes may vary among different motherboard vendors. So refer to your system motherboard manual and there the interpretation for different kinds of beep code will be provided.

I hope this is helpful and solves your problem,
Thanks
