Humming noise on HP Pavilion dv9000

\015 I just purchased this labtop last week. It is great except for the humming that is coming from the keyboard area. Any suggestions? Should I return and get a new one? I don't think I can live with the buzzing/humming for long. Thanks\015

I have a dv6000 and its makes a insect tlike noise. i returned it and  got another one but that one also made the same noise. so i contacted hp and they told me that the sound is coming from the USB ports, i thought wierd but here is the solution to your problem. go to computer managment (start>right click my computer> manage), click on device manager, select the universal serial bus contollers ( there should be a few roots files that open up), right click a usb root hub and select properties, click the power managment tab, and uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". do this for every USB root hub that you have, and the problem should go away. FYI these instructions are for windows XP.
Humming fan!......hp dv9000 = poor quality control in the manufacturing process.
\015\012I opened my computer up and took a look. What did I find? Where do I start?
\015\012On the underside of the keyboard I found 2 human hairs sealed under a solid strip of clear tape. But thats not all folks! My fan was grinding. And why was it grinding you may ask? I will tell you. A white label "Not" centered on the top of the fan blades. Crooked enough to throw it out of alignment.Took the darn thing off. Problem solved!
\015\012I also found the sticky side of adhesive tape used to hold down wires with makes a great lint trap. Simple things that can truley harm your computer.

I'vs had my HP Pavilion Dv9000 laptop about 2 months now, and it has been great. recently however sounds have only been coming from the right sound channel. I don't think the problem is with the speakers because even if I use headphones or external speakers I still only get sounds from the right channel and the buzzing continues
