Have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop A135 which has a cd/dvd rom drive burner that does not seem to be reconized by my system. Under CD/DVD drive in my systems info. it only lists my Magic Jack phone line. When I put in a disk in the drive it makes normal sounds and attempts to run but nothing happens beyond that. I installed the Toshiba Recovery and applications drivers thinking that it may be a software issue, but the disk did install. What could be happening?

Router problem. Time Warner had a internet problem last Sunday, April 26 here in the Northeast. They fixed it, but our internet still didn't function properly as it did before the TWC problem. Very slow connections and timing out most of the time. Talked to TWC tech person, and found out that internet was fine to my main computer, but when the router was hooked up the problem came back. Netgear WGR614 v4. Only thing TWC said was to try and change channel. We tried but problem still exists.
