Having problems with your HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook ?

I'm trying to view webcam thru my Live Messenger. I was given the solution of downloading flasher player, which I did. However, when I tried to pull up webcam, it said it was waiting to connect and then it failed. I'm able to send just fine. Could it be the problem of the sending computer or something else wrong with my laptop?
