I have a MT6704 gateway notebook which cme originally with wins vista. I just changed it to wins xp and the audio isn't working. from device manager, i need to install sigmatel high definition audio codec. i hve been searching 4 this software. pls kindly help me. Had to re-install Windows XP on about 3 1/2 year old Dell Inspiron E1505 . Got it up to SP3 with all updates applied. Audio will not run. Says that I have IDT High Def Audio CODEC, but when uninstalling that and trying to reinstall, I get a "cannot run error...CODE 10".
