Having problems with your Gateway GT4022 PC Desktop ?

She won't run

\015 Gateway gt4022 \015\012\015\012I have been playing battlefield 2 and tonight it locked up on me nothing I could do but cut the power now it won't turn back on it just gets to the gateway screen sits for a minute and shuts down it won't even start in safe mode or any other for that matter did I fry something or is it a simple problem please help me\015

Its not the power supply, not the hard drive, etc. It is a defect in the motherboard with this mode. Called Gateway support to find this out. Replacing motherboard is solution.

\015\012A way around fixing comp is to unplug the power supply cord at the tower, then hold down on the start button for 20 seconds, replace power supply cord, then turn it on as usual.

\015\012I discovered that leaving our Sims Online game running keeps the comp from going into standby. So I just leave comp on with game running when I am finished with the comp.

\015\012Gonna get a new comp. And it will not be a Gateway..... Hope this helps anyone reading this. I nearly had a cow trying to use my comp.....lol

Take the hard drive out and put it in a working computer as a slave and run a virus check on it. Make sure the working computer has up to date antivirus and spyware programs running on it. You should find something and the working computer will clean the drive out for you. You can also defrag it with the working computer.
