Having problems with your Gateway 7322GZ Notebook ?

Trying to clean heat sink etc

\015 Hi, my Gateway 7322GZ runs hot and crashes frequently. I intend to clean the heat sink, fan, and re-apply thermal gel. I have opened the machine from the top to expose components. Not sure what to do next ... I have had no success with finding a disassembly guide for this type of laptop. I am trying to generalize from steps related to other machines but this one looks different than those and I'm not sure what to do next. Any thoughts?\015\012.\015

I believe it is quite normal for a computer to get hot. That doesn't mean that it should crash though. I think you have some registry errors.
