Having problems with your Fujitsu S6210 Notebook ?

Often when turning on my computer it would boot up but then go into the blue screen which indicates that there is problem with hardware or software. (XP) It would then usually reboot without any problem. This would typically occur on most start ups. Twice it would just cycle continuously. I decided to format the disk and return it to factory specs. with my recovery disk. It now reboots and continously goes to the blue screen and reboots. I was in task manager,and ended explorer, now all there is , is a blue screen .every time I reboot, nothing, just blue screen. any help?
If you have already replaced the hard drive then that takes away my idea that the drive could be defective(a second defective hard drive is not impossible but unlikely). It does sound like a motherboard hardware issue. You could try replacing the hard drive cable and see if that fixes the problem. There could be a problem with the cable. Another thing you can try is updating or re-installing the BIOS if you can get the updating software from Fujitsu to work. Updating the BIOS might correct the hard drive controller issue if the BIOS file is somehow corrupted. I would also point to a possible defective cd-rom drive creating errors during the Windows installation but it sounds like the laptop was having problems before the Windows re-installation. Also there is a chance that if the CPU fan has stopped working or the CPU is overheating it can cause problems with Windows and the re-installation process. So make sure the CPU fan is operating and the heatsink/air flow is clear of dust ect. Let me know if you have any other questions.
