Having problems with your E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC ?

I have a 2003 or 2004 emachine that I am trying to start up to get my old info from, however I have two issues. 1. no signal from monitor and I have checked all cables. 2. when I turn on the CPU, there is a repeated beep noise. Any suggestions? What I was hoping to do was to just restart it to a previous date?

Answers :

One of your ports is not working or your ram is not seated. thus beeping. On mine once I seated my ram the beeping stopped and I could continue.. If you say there is no signal to the monitor maybe the video card is bad. do you have a spare to throw in and try. Then hook it to the internet, either with an ethernet or wireless adapter and have it find your driver and maybe that will work.

My HP Pavilion dv9700 was over heating and would shut off. Then it wasn't over heating and would shut off. Now it won't turn on at all. The power cord is working and the lights go on for a second while I am pushing the button to turn it on, but the computer won't turn on. HP told me the problem was the motherboard. Do you think that's really the problem or could it be something else?
