\015 My Latitude D600 is 4 years old and has taken a few hits. In the last two months, it's had boot up problems. About 75% of the time, when I hit the power button to boot it up, the power button light and the battery light at the hinge to the lower right of the screen will light for a few seconds and then go blank and the machine will not boot. Repeated efforts, including holding down the power button for 5-10 seconds, yield the same result. This happens both when the machine's power adapter is plugged in and when it is not plugged in and running off of a charged battery. I can try turning it on 5-6 times in the course of 15 minutes to no avail, and then return 1 hour later and it will work without explanation. The battery seems to work because on the occasions that the machine does boot and the batter is charged, it will work fine without the power adapter. When it does boot up, it takes noticeably longer--maybe 2-3 times as long--for Windows XP to boot up than it did for years when the machine worked fine. This is separate problem that my intuition says is related to the first problem. Any help would be appreciated.\015
\015\012The Solution is found is, when i have this problem, i press the power button and then move the rotate the laptop, so that its screen touches the desk and keybord is upright verticle, i know it sounds ODD, but it really made my life so easier as now this problem doesnt haunt me. and it will boot on first, second or third go.\015\012
\015\012Normal Laptop Condition with keybord down and LCD Open\015\012

\015\012You need to move the laptop in one of the following if it is having boot problem again\015\012

\015\012or put the lcd down flat while keeping the keyboard in the same position as above.\015\012
