Dell Latitude D510 Wireless Connectivity Fades/Dies

\015 Just updated drivers for wireless (purchased laptop old and used) and am attempting to use wireless. The wireless modem recognizes and connects to my network very strongly, but quickly fades and ostensibly loses the connection. Tried disconnecting and reinstalling the card, but it didn't really help.If I switch to another network, it will again connect strongly (maybe able to get one click into a website), then grinds to a halt.\015
