Quiet Noisey feedback out of speakers

\015 So, I have the Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop.\015\012Bare with me this is hard to explain.\015\012When I put my ear close to the speakers I hear this really annoying sound...I can hear it better when I put headphones on and with them plugged in.You see this wouldn't bother as much...however, when I try to record something I get this noise along with what I record. So for instance, I press record (on recording software) and without even making a noise....this annoying feedback is already making noise and when I stop the recording and play back what I recorded (which is essentially nothng) all I can hear is this noise. Also, when I being to actually record myself speaking and then play back what I recorded all that can be heard in the background is this noise. Also, why is my microphone only recording myself in only in the left speaker? I don't understand this and why can I not figure out a way to change it so I can be recorder in both speakers.I can hear from both speakers otherwise. It's be greatly appreciated if you could answer me. Thank you for your time.:)\015

The speakers are not hooked up correctly. I don't know if you still have the instructions but it is a hardware problem and not software. Try to figure out how to hook them up correctly.
