Having problems with your Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook ?

I want to take my dell inspirion 1501 apart to clean fans and I can not figure it out it keeps overheating

Answers :

There is one particular spot where dust builds up in a thin layer between the heatsink and fan on the inside. However if this laptop is just sitting a carpeted or cloth surface it can very easily heat up quickly eventually to the point of over heating, I would suggest never setting any laptop directly on a flat surface, try and find something you can lift it up on like two books on the sides of it. No matter how much you clean it out, you will still have heat problems. Maybe suggest getting one of the cool pads, try this maybe by thermaltake. http://www.google.com/products?q=thermaltake+R15ON01&hl=en&scoring=p
