Having problems with your Dell Inspiron 1000 Notebook ?

Inspiron 1000 LCD goes black when moved, seemed to work fine a few days ago and just went... I can start the laptop just fine but when the lcd lid is move backwards or forwards it goes black alothough the power light stays on. After looking about online came across some fixes, took apart the LCD screen and checked all connections, no such luck. My friend had a laptop that did something similar so i got him an lcd ribbon cable replacement off ebay and that fixed it. i dont know if thats whats wrong with yours, but its a possibility. here is a link to a cable on ebay
