Having problems with your Dell Dimension 5100 (D51L1) PC Desktop ?

I have a Laptop Dell Studio , I have a dvd stuck in the drive and no way of ejecting it.

Answers :

If the dvd drive is tray loading (a tray pops out that you have to put the disc onto) then there should be a small pinhole on the front of the drive, usually somewhere on the left or right side that you can slide the end of a paper clip into and pop the try open.\015\012
\015\012If its a slot loading drive then its a bit trickier. I've had to do a few of these in my shop and I find the best way for me is to use two flexible plastic cards (credit, driver license, hotel room key, etc.) and GENTLY slide one into the drive along the top of the disc and another along the bottom and apply pressure by lifting up on the top card and pushing down on the bottom card while GENTLY pulling towards yourself. this will grab the disc and help to slide it out. I've also heard of someone using a playing card and two sided tape, but the idea of losing the piece of tape inside the drive or having something sticky in there making it harder to maneuver the card doesn't seem like the best idea to me.

The CD drive should have a tiny hole. Please try to find it and push it with a paper clip.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.
