My laptop gets heat and shutdown - Compaq Evo N610C Notebook

Answers :

“My Toshiba \012laptop suddenly shuts down by itself without any warning. Sometimes it \012works fine for hours, sometimes it shuts down in 10-15 minutes.”\012 This complaint we hear from our customers over and over again. About \01215-20% of all Toshiba laptops we get for repair, suffer from an \012overheating problem. Yep, OVERHEATING!
\012This is one of the \012most common problems with Toshiba laptops we deal with.
\012Indications of\012 laptop overheating problem:
  1. The keyboard and the \012bottom of your laptop are very hot when the laptop is working.
  2. \012
  3. The CPU fans are \012working all the time at maximum rotation speed and operate much \012louder than before.
  4. \012
  5. The laptop suddenly \012shuts down by itself without warning. When it just started, the laptop \012was shutting down after 1-2 hours and how it shuts down after 5-10 \012minutes of operation.
  6. \012
  7. The laptop works fine\012 when it runs idle, but shuts down as soon as you start using any memory\012 demanding applications (DVD player, image editing software, video \012editing software, etc.).
\012If the CPU heatsink is\012 not clogged with dust and lint completely, you can use canned air and \012just blow it inside the laptop through the openings on the bottom and on\012 the sides. It’s nice as a precaution measure, but it might not work if \012your laptop already has a problem and the heatsink is completely \012clogged.
  1. Open the laptop case,\012 so you can access the CPU fan and the heatsink. In some cases you can \012access the heatsink through the latch on the bottom of the laptop. \012Sometimes you have to open the laptop case all the way \012down.
  2. \012
  3. Carefully disconnect \012the fan cables on the system board and remove the fan. If the fan makes \012unusual sound when it spins (grinding sound), I would recommend to \012replace the fan.
  4. \012
  5. Clean the fan and the\012 heatsink with compressed air.
  6. \012
  7. I would also \012recommend removing old thermal grease from the CPU and applying new\012 grease for better heat conductivity.
For this u buy laptop coolpad which will solve the problem. it has a fan fitted on which the laptop is kept.
