Adapting Boston Acoustics BA7800 for use with TV

\015 I want to use my Boston Acoustics BA7800 system with a new TV. I got the system for use with my Gateway PC, and it works well.\015\012\015\012I started to hook the BA7800 system to my new TV, but cable that connects the woofer base to the output source (previously the computer) has three 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo (TRS) connectors, but for the TV I need RCA male connectors.\015\012\015\012Do you have any advice?\015\012\015\012Thanks!\015\012\015\012John\015

Here's what you need:

Scroll down to the 3.5mm Stereo Jack / RCA Plug x 2 Y-Cable

Converts your TRS connectors to dual RCA plugs. You said you have 3 TRS connectors. Does the TV have 3 sets of RCA plugs you can use with this? If not, you may not be able to get full surround sound, just stereo sound, from your TV - and you'll need some RCA splitters to plug two (or three) cables into one port. I know you can get those at Radio Shack.

I fixed the same issue by replacing the original AC power supply with a 13.8 volt DC power supply (Radio Shack) It seems to be more consistent at high SPL and no hum , as the Boston acoustic unit accepts either AC or DC power. ... Boston Acoustics MediaTheater Computer Speakers
