Having problems with your ASUS Eee 4G Notebook ?

How do I remove the keyboard on my asus k60 to clean the keys?

\015 Unfortunately coffee was spilled on my brand new Asus K60 notebook. Trying to save $ only bought the standard warrenty plan from Best Buy when I purchased it. I did all the nessary things to dry it out completely (removed all the components, set it at an angle to drain liquid, ...). Let it dry for 24 hours and started it back up. It started fine & seemed to be okay, but there are some sticky keys. Since we already established that the warrenty plan I purchased didn't cover spills I would just like to clean it up the best I can and go on with my life. The problem we are facing is how to remove the plastic strip above the keyboard so we can remove the key board to clean the keys. Can anyone tell or show us how this is done? Thank you.\015

Answers :

This is a very delicate process and may lead to broken parts by inexperienced hands!! I recommend you pay an expert at your local laptop shop to do this for you as it shouldnt cost much, as it doesnt require a total strip down. Also if you break something theres another part you will have to buy. I have done this several times (Stripped laptops down) and I can assure you it is a delicate process.
