Having problems with your ASUS A6U Notebook ?

When I hit y or w the cursor jumps to another part of the email usually where the pointer is sitting. Laptop computer.

Answers :

The problem isnt the Y or W key. It's the position of your hand on the keyboard. Try using a wireless mouse instead of the touchpad. Then press your Function F5 (or whichever one turns off the mouse pad) and test it out. You're touching the mouse pad while you type. I do this all the time and it's very frustrating. I just went out and got a USB wireless mouse... It works great. Have fun!

I have an HP Pavilion dv5224 laptop. pe I find that when I ty at a clip, things like what just happened (my cursor somehow jumps to another place in the para--from ty to 1st line pe). This happens pretty frequently, and usually when I'm typing fast--not slow. It is very annoying. I can't figure out why it does this. I am not inadvertently hitting any of the arrow keys--they are far down on the right. It might be related to the space bar, however.

Does your laptop have touchpad that acts as a mouse if you don't have a mouse plugged in (it's usually directly below the spacebar)? If any part of your hand accidentally brushes that sensitive rectangular area, it will cause the mouse cursor to jump ... PC Desktops
