Access fan to clean it in my laptop

\015 I cannot get the back off my laptop to access the fan to clean it. It's an e-machines M5118. Any ideas how to remove the cover?\015

Answers :

Everything is screwed into the back on a laptop. You must remove the top which is called the palmrest to get inside. Usually you would remove all the screws from the bottom of the notebook. Then remove the cover usually just above the keyboard and the keyboard itself. Then the screen needs to come off, usually a few more screws. Then a few more screws from the palmrest and it should come off. Then you will be at the motherboard and your should see the fans. I don't recomment doing all this though. Usually a few sprays from an air duster can into the exhaust vents will get the dust out of your fans without taking the machine apart.
