Having problems with your PC Desktops ?

My tower had a virus/trojan horse AND IT DOES NOT START OR REBOOT

\015 My tower hp754n windows XP had a virus or trojan horse a month ago so i tried to a complete system reboot to leave it just the way i bought it. When i was on bios i could not remember the password, so i disconected it and openned the cover to clean the inside. I started blowing all the dust using a can of air that i bought at walmart. Then i tried to restart it and it was shutting off within 5 second and i was geetting a message saying cpu fan failure, then i pressed f2 to overide it. It starts rebooting but suddenly stops and gives me another message to call HP but my computer is out of warranty. Tonight I tried restarting but it would not shut off or send any signal to the monitor. What i did was pull the battery to reset the bios, umplug it for 2 hrs hold the power button while i was pluging it and then pressed f10. In order for me to make it start again, i always have to umplug it for a couple oh hrs and then plug it back again.Any help THANKS A LOT\015

Too complicated when I read your post. Why not take it easy, and sort your problem step by step. Ok you said you have a virus or trojan. Why not try other free antivirus? Try to use Avira free with malwarebytes antimalware in combo. Its lite and a killer.

Ok you want to restore your system. Dust it out. Don't ignore the message cpu fan failure rectify it, thus it need cleaning or replacement?

Ok try to clean also your RAM module its edge connector with a soft eraser then reseat it, its for the problem of no signal to the monitor. Unit is power down and unattached to any power source before doing this. Or check its video card if add on.

When you take out/in the cmos battery did you unplugged the unit to power source and system is totally off? If yes, well that's good.

Does the CPU fan actually turn when the system is running?
Did you unplug it when the case was open?
did you put the battery in upside down?
did you clear the "board-off" power?

If the first answer is yes and the rest are no, then unplug all external devices (including keyboard and mouse) other than the monitor.
disconnect the power cord, while holding down the on button. Continue holding the button between 5 and 10 seconds.
reconnect your devices, plug in the power, and turn it on.
(This is the HP recommended method)
