Your monitor have a bad condensator in the PSU.

The only thing to\015\012do is to replace the Power Supply Unit (very expensive, more than a new monitor) or if you have\015\012electronic tools, found and replace that condensator.(cheaper way...)

or

Have you connected your monitor with a new power cord ?

My ViewSonic VX900 won't turn on. I have had it since late 2003 and it has operated flawlessly. Went to turn it on; nothing. No light, no standby light. Checked the power cord against another monitor and the power cord is OK. Used a different power cord; still nothing. I assume the something is dead inside. If this is a known issue and there is a part # I can order from somewhere to solder it myself, I am certainly willing, unless it is not $ justified vs. spending $200 for a new monitor. Thank
