CPU Fan Speed Too Low or Fails***

\015 I will give you BIG FAT COOKIE if you can solve these for me!!As for CPU Fan Issue, Error message will sometimes show up- "Cpu Fan too low or fails" But I looked at CPU which is attached to Motherboard, it didn't stop spinning. Only My Case fan (Which is different Fan which is bottom of Power Supply it sometimes turn itself off then restart on its own and then spinning like normal?) (Or is that 2 different issues?? But anyway) I may need your juicy brain (Thinking) about that,As you see, I am hardcore gamer, and I recently had Custom Built computer, and I recently started buy pc games*** (Wow Peformed great-) (Tried Overlord but couldn't enjoy playing the game due to Monitor Problem (As I posted earlier*) (It seem refuse swap the resoution with the full screen back forth to desktop and shut itself down***) (But Overlord game act normal on other CRT monitor***) I recently installed a new software where it will "Determines" the Speeds and tells you temperature, and voltage and everything.Okay, As you see, I am kind of NEW to whole thing, so I don't really understand a lot about how Numbers and how they are supposed to be set as" suppose you want to gaming high quality games like overlord, or oblivion or whatever.)As I thought, that everything was done in Auto (Whatever Computer decides is best") because I read the manual book (Yay for reading -_-)Cool n Quiet software is for- enables you view system real time cpu frequency and voltage. (But I cannot view this software yet since my Motherboard Bio were disabled for this feature, so I would have to enable this feature.Right now I only can access other software "Smart utility monitors the fan speed, cpu temperature, and system voltages and alerts any detected problems. So What I see is here list of numbers, But I don't know whats normal and what's not.List:1.36V Vcore3.31 V5.03 V12.10VCpu 38 o CMB 37 o CCPU 1288 rpmCHASSIS 1222 rpmCHIPSET 6250 RPMthese displays As I type to you, Only Firefox is open, this is what display here. I am pretty sure they changes when Gaming. Didn't try (Due to Monitor issue*) And Oh yeah, I am wondering if I am supposed to have an Heatsink for Under the CPU fan on the motherboard? (Manual book shows that you can install that part but I didn't have heatsink) (Is it neccessary? Or not to worry?)Hopefully the LCD Monitor can be fixed (Please check what I post earlier to see that issue.) So that I can enjoy gaming!! Without blow up my Computer >< Thank you!\015

There are three things you need to have a good gaming computer, fast graphics card, fast CPU, and lots of RAM. You didn't list your RAM so I can't help you, but 4GB is the most you can put in a computer. If you want to know everything about your computer then click on Start>Accesssories>system tools>system.
\015\012
\015\012Ok you asked four or five questions so lets start with the CPU since if that breaks nothing else matters. First, the measurement for CPU is GigaHertz (GHz) not rpm. So it looks like you have a 1.98GHz CPU. That is not extremely fast (my Dell laptop for instance has a 2.4GHz) so you don't have to worry about your CPU overheating. Yes, all CPUs should have a heatsink and a fan. It helps with the cooling. A CPU also does a thing called "throttling" if it is getting too hot it slows itself down to cool off. So you are good with the CPU.
\015\012
\015\012The other fan is the large fan you hear going on and off. That is connected to your power supply. The measurement for that is in wattage, it is custom made depending on the motherboard so that is a given that there is no problems with the power supply.
\015\012Both fans on the CPU and the Power Supply will turn off and on as they get hotter then stop when they are cool again.
\015\012
\015\012Your graphics card is the most important for gaming. It should come with its on RAM and it's on fan. GE FORCE makes some good ones. Just google "gaming graphic cards" and you'll get an idea of what you need.
\015\012
\015\012So that's it. Hope this helps you understand more. If you have any questions let me know. Don't forget to rate this solution with four stars before logging out.

The computer sounds like it's racing. It speeds up and slows down. It's not the normal sound, it's been doing this for about two weeks and I cleaned the dust out of the fans that I could get to.

If the PC is a few years old, the bearing on the fans might be failing, causing more noise. The speeding/slowing is because the temperature sensors on the motherboard, fan, or case are telling the fans what speed to go for more or less cooling. ... PC Desktops
