Display problem with ViewSonic VX1962wm 19" wide monitor

\015 Hi. I'm having terrible problem connecting the ViewSonic VX1962wm 19" wide \302\240monitor on ASUS EAH 4670 512mb DDRIII graphics. Display will not accept any display driver software. When I install drivers that came with the monitor picture is completely black after the restart although you can hear the windows is working properly(Vista ultimate 64).\302\240When I install the ATI Catalysit driver (tried newest as well as the ones provided with the graphic card) hundreds of black horizontal lines apear throughout the screen. All components are brand new. These things happen on both connections (DVI as well as VGA cable), even considered pluggin them both in, but i'm not sure what can happen if I do that.I have assembled atleast 10 of \302\240amd-ati based computers, and installed operating systems and everything that goes along, without any serious problems, that's why i'm puzzled even more with this one, so any advice, suggestion or hopefully solution is welcome!\015
