Having problems with your Toshiba Tecra 8100 Notebook ?

The number keys are locked and the caps are not on but it types in all caps. i spilled water yesterday but it has dried out

Answers :

Yeah yeah yeah... the keyboard has several mylar sheets underneath the keys and it ain't waterproof - so when water gets in there, it ain't gonna dry out. I'd replace the keyboard - remove the plastic strip/panel above the keyboard, then one screw (the one on the right), and you'll have access to the keyboard (part number is on the bottom of the keyboard). Best source of it is eBay.

Jumping Cursor This problem just started yesterday. I was typing a paper for a class (I'm in college). By accident, I spilled a very small amount of liquid on the keyboard (near the enter key and so forth). I quickly flipped my computer upside down, dried it and turned it off, checked the battery, then turned it back on. Everything was fine (the spill was minor). The problem comes in when I type in Word (sometimes e-mails, etc.) The text cursor will randomly jump to diff (just did it now) as I'm
