Toshiba L300 satellite --- Power cord does not connect!

\015 When I plug in the power cord, the laptop does not register it as "plugged in". Sometimes when I take the cord out and plug it in once again, It reads as "plugged in" for only a few seconds. The connedtion on the inside of the laptop is also loose. If anyone could help me solve this problem, it would be much appreciated.Sincerely, Steve\015

Unplug the powercord and try to move around the DC-Jack with a small flatheat screwdriver. If the jack moves around freely or the middle pin has too much slack you most likely have a defective DC-Jack. You can replace it yourself there are guides online that show you how to do this. The repair takes about 2-3 hours. I work for a company called Laptop Repair NYC and we do this repair frequently.
There are several companies online, or you can find someone in your area, the "AC Power Jack" that you plug into, is soldered onto the Motherboard using 2-4 "Prongs", one or more of yours has "Broken", and isn't making a connection, while the Price of the part is cheap, the repair is "Difficult" if you are trained to do the repair, but I have done 6 or 7 myself, so it is possible, But damage to the Motherboard can occur when soldering the new jack in,"Burning" a contact or something, best to take it to a repair shop,$150-$175, or $5-15 if you can do it yourself, Again "DIFFICULT", so the repair shop is your best bet, the online companies have Guaranties against damage. Google "Laptop DC jack repair"
\015\012http://www.DCJackRepair.NET is in the sponsered results. There are self help pages for the repair,
