Having problems with your Toshiba Satellite Laptop ?

How can I connect my Toshiba Satellite A305-S6872 laptop to my TV. The laptop has only VGA output and the Philips TV has HDMI-RCA and SVideo inputs but noVGA input:(. The cheap VGA-RCA converter plug doesn't work, shall I look for an enhanced converterr device, does such a device exist?
