Toshiba Laptop Not Powering On

\015 My Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 completely shut off last night. I have had this problem before where I'm in the middle of doing some work it will completely shut off, but this time it won't turn back on. I've tried just using the AC Adaptor and just battery power but it won't turn on. There are no LED lights or anything turning on. I have some important documents that I want to retrieve, I couldn't care less about the actual laptop. If there's anyway I can back up my info, let me know PLEASE. I called toshiba and troubleshooted and they assumed its a hardware problem. I went to a tech shop but it's too expensive to repair. Please let me know if you can help me. Thank you. \015

You may need to charge the battery a little more if you have it plugged in, if you're sure that it is charged you may need a new battery... Another possibillity is that if you have had it plugged into a regular wall outlet without a surge protector, it could have fried it... Best of luck!
