Toshiba Laptop Shuts down by its self and it gets a black screen

\015 I have been on the computer for two days and all of a sudden it shuts off in the middle of using it and I thought it had something to do with the fan so I bought a fan for the computer that I could put under the computer and plug it into the USB port and use to help cool it off.Thought that would help but it didn't so I tried to check the CHK/DSK/r/f in command prompt after it shut off on me the last time but that program ran for about 2 hours and it must of fixed something because next day I turned on the computer and it was doing well but all of a sudden it did it again and I just decided to restore system to about a month ago so that in case I loaded something I should not have but when I thought that was going to work it didn't...now the issue is worse, I went to restart after the restore was done and the screen went black and now I can't even do anything except get into F8 that is all that will show and whatever you do and the program goes through it just goes back to a black screen....OMG I am not knowing what to do now??HELP PLEASE\015

Alright, I found some information pertaining to use of the recovery partition. It's far too long to post here, so I'll ask you to download the instructions from Toshiba.

1. Visit the Toshiba Support Website.
2. Press, "Product Support."
3. Click on, "Laptops," then click, "Satellite," then type, "A135-S2276" into the Model Finding Filter.
4. Click on your model and press GO.
5. Click on the second User's Guide link.
6. If the option is available, download the guide. Otherwise, scroll to page 58.

You have the options of recovering your system using the Hard
Drive Recovery partition to the factory-set default....

CAUTION: If you decide to use this method, all files that were saved to your computer since you bought it will be LOST! I only recommend this method if the files on your system are of no importance to you or if you have backed them up to some form of removable media (CD, DVD, Flash Drive, External Hard-Drive, etc...).

I'm posting this as a solution so that the link I posted will actually work. However, if this doesn't solve your problem, we can continue debugging the situation just as easily as before.

Yay. This is the first time i can say with certainty that i have the solution.
This issue plagued me for months, eventually getting to the point where my screen was going black every 10 minutes and the system was unresponsive to everything but a forced shut down/reboot. I finally found the solution on Toshiba`s website. The problem was completely resolved by a bios update available thru Toshiba. I`d post the link but I`m stuck posting via phone due to the unrelated issue that brought me to this thread.
