Having problems with your Toshiba Satellite A135 Notebook ?

Toshiba A135 random shut downs

\015 I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-4727. When I close the lid or press the power button, it shuts down even though the settings are set to make it sleep. I've messed with the settings and nothing seems to be changing anything. I can restart the computer with no problem, and when I do, a message says a unexpected shut down occured and asks if I want to restart it normally. I've had the laptop for 2 years, and it just started to do this. Any ideas on what could be causing this?\015

Answers :

Normal defaults are when lid is closed "Shutdown" and when Power pressed to "Hibernate". Go to Control Panel and select Power Options. Under heading of Power Scheme select the Option you wish. I feel like you want to select Portable/Laptop (XP Pro) and make your changes. Click on the Advanced Tab to select what the Power Button does when pressed (Shutdown) and "When I close the Lid" (Nothing). (Well, those are my settings)
\015\012
\015\012Click on Hibernate Button and un-check "Enable hibernation". When you accept these changes Toshiba will send a message stating that "Toshiba Power Saver mode will be disabled" click OK then click OK again to exit. Try it out.
Chect the operating system maybe some files or configuration change.. try to re install the operating system,, save first you data or make back up.. in another drive.
