Toshiba Satellite A100 LE4000 Turns Off Randomly

\015 My Toshiba Satellite A100 LE4000 turns itself off at random. I at first thought it was a cooling issue because the thing becomes hot as heck, but it now does it even if it has been off for hours.\015\012\015\012It is plugged 95% of the time and the shut down issue has only happened when it is on AC power.\015\012\015\012When it shuts down, no lights are on in the front, including the AC power light. When the lights are all off, it will not turn on for several minutes until the lights activate.\015\012\015\012I have a brand new Toshiba power adapter that shows no signs of damage or wear.\015\012\015\012I am thinking I may have to replace the battery but before I do that, I am hoping to get some advice first.Any ideas?Thanks!!!\015

There must be still a problem with your current cooling system. try cleaning up your laptops fan. cpu gets heated up very easily even if you turned it off for a while. you can do this by unscrewing the parts, the inside must be pretty dusty or something. this also happened to me but from a different unit.

also, try checking for the latest bios driver for your laptop and to be sure, download it on toshiba site itself. because latest drivers for your bios also manages the control of your cpu fans.

if you could also get access to your systems cooling options in bios, try checking if your cpu's temperature are doing fine.

but i prefer you cleaning up the inside fans as well. hope this helps.
