Having problems with your Samsung X10 Notebook ?

The machine will not start up with what appears to be a fully charged battery and AC input

Answers :

HI,

this can be either
no power/no post /no video situation
when you push in the power button do you see the power light on
if not follow the following

please follow these steps
1) take out the ac adapter
2) take out the battery and try to start the laptop with AC adapter in (on sate) see if it works

if upper solution works call the laptop manufacturer tech support either your motherboard or battery is faulty

if it doesn't start with solution above

1) take out both battery and ac adapter from your laptop

push and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and then put in the battery and try to start the laptop, (this step release any flee power in laptop)

if none of the above works you have to call your laptop company (this was for no power issue)

if you see upto the limit when windows logo appear then

restart the system again and then keep tapping the F8 key when the manufacturer logo appears

and you will be taken to a menu that says safe mode in one of the option, select safe mode and press enter

check if you are able to login into safe mode if so, that means you have a video driver issue

click start button > run > type in without quotes '%systemroot%\\system32\\restore\\rstrui.exe'
> ok

you will be taken to a windows where you can restore your settings to a date when all was working fine, follow the instructions on the windows and select the date that was the one when system was working fine, > restore the system

(caution: when you restore a system back to a date any progarm installed after the that date will not work or appear in program menu as all the settings after that date is lost)

and when you will restart your issue will be hopefully resolved

if you are able to see the power LED its blinking or something
call your laptop manufacturer technical support

My eee pc 4G surf won't turn on. It started having problems when the power cord was bumped - causing it to immediately shut down. Then it just stopped booting all together. I replaced the power cord and it will begin booting when I initially plug it in and hit the power button, but it goes black before it fully starts. At that point the battery light (orange), the power light and the wireless light begin going off and coming back at regular intervals like it's trying to boot but fails before
