I've used AVG for several years without problem but recently I have experienced the computer shutting down during a full scan. The problem still persisted after installing version 9. Not knowing the best way to tackle the problem I started by reverting back to the original memory which came with the computer. The 2Gb which I had upgraded to was replaced with the old 1Gb. I then started a new scan operation and it finished without problem.
