A bios password that appears on the screen of my mpc laptop

\015 When booting my machine, a bios password appears on it and this makes it impossible to access any information on the system\015

Answers :

I just purchased a used MPC x1000 and encountered the same problem. Here's what I did:

First, turn on PC and press F1 to enter CMOS.
\015\012Go to the Security tab. There you will see Supervisor and User Password fields. Change the Supervisor password, then the User fields can be changed. Then, save and exit.
\015\012If, when your o/s boots, the screen asks for password or touch fingerprint pad, go for the password option by pressing ctrl/alt/del.
\015\012If that won't let you in, there's a bypass tab that you can select. I clicked on that tab and went right into Windows no prob. Then, the TouchPad options menu appeared so I could set up security as I choose.
\015\012Good luck
