Having problems with your MPC Computers ClientPro 414 All-In-One PC Desktop ?

I have an MPC Clientpro 414, in 07 I replaced the power supply.

\015 Lately the computer will just turn itself off without warning like there is a loss of power. Could it be a bad power supply (adaptor) again? Thanks\015

This is most likley a overheating problem. I work for a company who uses 2 of theese computers for each of our almost 600 stores. As one of the facility support guys, I have seen this time after time. What I do is to remove all the access panels from the back of the computer as well as the HDD and optical drive (they both should slide out easily after removing 1 screw each) and blow the entire thing out with a whole can of air. I also remove the HDD from it's sled and blow it off to keep it cool. Put everything back together and you will be good to go again, at least until the backlight inverter burns out. Good luck!
It could be a lot of things, but the adapter is easy to rule out. The power supplies for these units all have a power LED on them. The CP414 power brick has an internal circuit breaker (no fuse). I have never seen a faulty adapter with a working LED. If the LED is illuminated, it is probably working. That said, you could still have a bad connector on the DC adapter, or you could have a bad connector on the back of the system. (Those 4-pin DC jacks are hard to find too).

If it is powering off without warning, I would look at overheating first, but there is an easy way to tell if it is overheating. If it powers off, will it power back on immediately (or after a short wait) without jiggling any cables? If it does power on again, does it immediately (or within a few minutes/seconds) power off again? Typically, if you have an over-heating issue, the system will run fine for ~30 minutes the first time it is powered on. After it powers off for the first time, it might only run for ~5 minutes the second time and each subsequent time until you let system cool completely.

Could simply be your power supply.
