Getting message: "VGA mode not support"

\015 I tried to change the screen resolution on the control panel because the size of the picture got too large, and then too small. But then it immediately went to black with the little blue box that says "VGA mode not support.." Nothing I do can get me out of that screen and back to the OS so i can change settings! Help!\015

Shut the computer off, hold the power button for five seconds.

\015\012Once it's off, turn it back on and tap the F8 button until you see a black and white safe mode menu. Use your arrow key to select Last Known Good Configuration and then press enter.
