Very Quiet Subwoofer - amplifyer problem?

\015 The amplifyer for the subwoofer on my Z-2300 seems to be broken. The satellite speakers work fine but the sub is not audible during normal play, even with the bass setting as high as it will go.It is not a entirely broken however. If I unplug the satellite speakers and turn the volume up to max the woofer can he heard very feintly. I assume this means it is not a problem with any wire connection in relation to the subwoofer circuit. \015\012\015\012I have checked all the computer settings and I am sure it is not a problem with this either. I have tried using it on friends' laptops too but the same happens, again suggesting a hardware problem.\015\012\015\012Do think it is something wrong with the amp for the subwoofer? This would make sense since it the sound can still be heard feintly. If so is this the sort of thing that it fixable by a professional or is it time for a new system? (it is out of warranty 3 yrs old)\015\012\015\012Thanks\015

Hi there,
\015\012Yes, it is fixeable, but you can carefully check this,
\015\0121) open the SUB, and see if any cable is broke or loose in the negative and positive poles.
\015\0122) check if there a loose cable on the terminals point of attach speakers.
\015\0123) other than this is a defective AMP inside and mus be change.
