Extremely loud hum/buzzing from speakers

\015 These speakers were sold with a Dell computer from 2000. The model number on back is hk195, multimedia system. Could I use new speakers and what inexpensive speakers could I buy that are similar to these? This is a backup computer system, not used much except for gaming! Thx, Linda\015
