\015 After modifying xorg.conf file to increase video resolution (1440x900) the monitor goes black and displays: ANALOGOUT OF RANGE80.8 KHz 65 HzAfter changing xorg file and ctrl-alt backspace the system comes up to the sign on screen with the higher resolution. After I sign on the monitor displays the above information. I'd remove everything from the section except Section "Monitor" and Identifier "Monitor0".

Let the boot process do the auto-detection of hardware: card and display monitor.

After logging in -- hope this works -- go the Menus:
System > Preferences > Display and try to get things working through that interface.
