A Microsoft update has made changes to ur Sound system IRQs....no solution till now....even we hardware/spftware tech guys are not able to locate the issue...but we have got a alternative worked out....just buy a USB sound adaptor and connect it to the USB port and connect the speaker sound jack to the sound port in that....u will have sound....also keep in mind that u " may" have to disable onboard sound in BIOS......

I have an HP DV9000 that I'm having an issue with on power up. When I plug the AC adapter into the laptop I have the blue light on insert so I know the laptop is getting power. When I depress the power on button all the lights for the various pieces of hardware come on ie, volume, DVD, quickplay etc. These stay on and then I get nothing else on power up.
