You possibly have a RAM issue. If you have never done a RAM upgrade to your computer, then eventually most PC's have RAM issues with the more you load programs, download music, and run other processes. Most computers come with basic RAM which is about 1Gig. You can install up to 3 or 4Gigs of RAM on laptops.
\015\012
\015\012You may purchase the RAM from Best Buys, Microcenter, Radio Shack, or any local computer parts store.
\015\012
\015\012Here are instrutions on how to replace the RAM once you have purchased the needed RAM.
\015\012You may also need to check your hard drive memory to see if you are getting close to the limit or if your memory is already full. If you download alot of music or alot of programs then this is possibility.
\015\012
\015\012
    \015\012
  1. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the AC adapter and all cables from the computer. \015\012
  2. Close the computer display, and turn it over. \015\012
  3. Remove the battery. \015\012
  4. Loosen the screw on the memory slot cover; then remove the cover
\015\012If the SO-DIMM is already in the memory slot, remove it to make room for the new one by pressing out on the latches on both edges of the socket at the same time. Be sure to save it for future use.
\015\0125. Find the notch on the contact edge side of the SO-DIMM.
Note: To avoid damaging the SO-DIMM, do not touch its contact edge.
\015\012
\015\0126. With the notched end of the SO-DIMM toward the contact edge side of the socket, insert the SO-DIMM into the socket at an angle of about 20 degrees (1); then press it firmly (2).
\015\012
\015\0127. Pivot the SO-DIMM downward until it snaps into place.
\015\012
\015\0128. Make sure that the card is firmly fixed in the slot and does not move easily.
\015\012
\015\0129. Replace the memory slot cover by aligning the back side of the cover first and then tightening the screw.
\015\012
Note:
When you have added or upgraded an SO-DIMM, do not use your computer until you have closed the cover. Never use the computer with the cover open.
\015\012
\015\01210. Put the battery back in place, turn the computer over again, and reconnect the cables.

\015\012
    \015\012
  1. Turn the computer on. \015\012
  2. While the "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue Access IBM button" message is displayed at the lower-left of the screen, press the Access IBM button. The ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery screen opens. \015\012
  3. Click Access BIOS. The System Restart Required window is displayed. \015\012
  4. Click Yes. The computer restarts, and the BIOS Setup Utility screen opens. The "Installed memory" item shows the total amount of memory installed in your computer.

For example, if your computer has 256 MB of memory and you install a 256-MB SO-DIMM in it, the quantity shown in "Installed memory" should be 512 MB.
\015\012Lastly, you will need to check to see if you possibly have a virus/spyware on your computer. You will need to log into your virus program and run a system scan "Scan Now". Once it runs and if it detects any threats, be sure to have them removed/deleted. Once you have them removed/deleted, restart your computer.
