Having problems with your IBM ThinkPad T40 2373 Notebook ?

I have had my IBM T40 Laptop for over 8 years now. I have never really traveled with it using the battery only. The battery charge light has recently been showing amber and not reaching fully charged. Is the obvious reason I need a new battery? I have dis and re-conected the batter but there is no change. Tx,

Answers :

Normally batteries need tro be constantly used or they drain out of power. Long term of non use kills the batteries, in this instance I think is what has happened. You will find that a new battery should solve your problem. I hope this helps.
