Monitor flickers - IBM NetVista X41 PC Desktop

Answers :

Hello,
Procedure for Windows XP
On the computer's desktop point to a region where there are no icons and right click to access the properties. Select the SETTINGS tab, click the ADVANCED button. Click the MONITOR tab. In the Screen refresh rate drop down list, select the highest refresh rate that the monitor can handle. Make sure that Hide modes that monitor cannot display box is checked. This will prevent you from selecting a mode that could damage your screen.

Your computer may have an NVIDIA, ATI card. Those have their own software to configure the graphic properties, but the idea is the same: Increase the refresh rate to a frequency not perceivable by most human eyes, (75Hz, 80Hz..)
Hope it helps.
Goes in the config panel, in display section, then the parameter tab, chose advance button. Then usually under the monitor tab, you'll find a refresh rate settings. Try 70hz setting. Also some time not using the protected ''power bar'' and connecting direct to wall helps alot. Let us know!
