Monitor going to sleep upon Bootup.

\015 Well, I just turn on my computer and the monitor says going to sleep. As simple as that. I have a HPvs17e Monitor. I see nothing. The, "COMPAQ" starting screen doesn't come up. Nothing. Ive tried another monitor and it still doesn't work. :(\015

Open your cpu cabinet.
\015\012refix your RAM memory .
\015\012Pull cmos cell for 10 minutes so all settigns are defaults.
\015\012Also remove PCI cards from PCI slot .
\015\012Then check.
\015\012Let me know if you need more assistanse.
\015\012thanks.
Monitor only displays what the computer is doing or saying. when the computer goes to sleep the monitor tells you by displaying the message and then gives you a blank screen when the computer has gone off.that is why even another monitor does the same. so, the problem is with your computer and not the monitor. \015\012try to boot the computer in safe mode and set the monitor settings. if it does the same on next bootup, then i think you need to re-install windows.
