My computer cant start up and is making a beeping noise

\015 I have an HP pavilion dv6245eu. it runs on windows vista premium. it switches on, but my screen is blank and there is no activity except for a beeping sound. its two loud beeps. i have stuff that i recently put on there and havent backed up. is there anyway to fix it without losing my information?\015

It could be RAM. Try switching the RAM. Most computers have two RAM modules. Try trading places with the two. If that brings it almost to life, one module is bad. Look online and buy a cheap memory module. Don't buy from Eagle memory. The guy sells junk and doesn't give refunds.
