Pavilion a622n restarts during boot process

\015 Whether in Normal or Safe Mode, the Pavilian a622n Desktop restarts/reboots almost immediately after it begins to load Windows. Safe Mode shows that it gets to the "mup.sys" file and restarts at that point. I realize that its most likely not related to the file, but hopefully that will best describe when/where it restarts/reboots. All diagnostics tests give a "pass" on harware tested (i.e. HDD, RAM). I'm guessing that it is simply a missing or corrupt OS file (Windows XP Home Edition) and I DO NOT have the System Recovery Discs that supposedly came with it. Any help on how to pinpoint the culprit or how to reload the OS files without interferring with other apps and data currently installed?\015\012Thanks in advance,\015\012Jim\015

Try safe mode command prompt
\015\012Then run system restore from there:
\015\012
    1. Restart your system
    2. When the system first boots, type F8 to bring up the boot menu
    3. Select the Safe Mode with Command Prompt option
    4. Log-on as administrator if needed
    5. At your command prompt type:
\015\012
    C:\\system32\\restore\\rstrui.exe
\015\012

    6. Hit Enter
    6. This will open the system restore wizard…
\015\012
Sounds like your graphics driver may be causing problems. That is what usually loads after mup.sys
First step is to get to the Safemode menu. (usually done by pressing F8 during startup but before the Windows XP screen). Select "Disable automatic restart on failure" (Something like that - I can't remember the exact verbage. That way when it crashes you will get the blue screen error and it will stop. Then you can further diagnose what is going on. Post back what it says...
